Halloween Bash 2008There was an awesome turn out at our first annual Halloween Bash. We want to thank everyone that took the time to come out and make it a fun night with plenty of entertainment with a live DJ, dancing, and having a great event all around. Anyone that stopped by Irish Times on Friday noticed a lot of great costumes last night during the Halloween Bash. One lucky Pirate (and parrot) even walked away with a Brand New Flat Screen LCD TV for best costume! Many other great prizes were also given out for best couples, most original, least effort, scariest staff, best homemade costume, and many other creative categories. Check out the top 200 pictures by clicking on 2008 Halloween Image Gallery to enter if you dare. For the Halloween Bash the pictures will be loaded to a separate gallery website that allows people to order prints directly online. There is a link at the bottom of each picture that will take you to the main page of that website. The pictures will be available for purchase after Friday. Book Your Christmas PartyNow is the time to reserve a date for your Christmas or Holiday Party at the Irish Times. You can email either Martin Lynch or Lorraine to book your holiday party now or call 708.485.8787. For those private parties that need the perfect place for your group with a cozy atmosphere then the Cottage is the place for you. Please visit the Irish Times Pub website and download a copy of the Party Menu to plan your next office party, graduation, shower, birthday party, office meeting or reception. Please book your party as early as possible as the dates do fill up fast as the year progresses. November 6th - Live Jazz EventThe Brookfield Jazz Society will feature live jazz in the Cottage on Thursday, November 6th featuring music by Jeru. This group recreates the music of the legendary Gerry Mulligan Quartets, as well as playing their own compositions in this style. For this event, there is a suggested band collection donation of $5 per person for BJS members (with membership card); non-BJS members will be charged a cover charge of $5 at the door. November 8th Irish Pub Meet UpThis Saturday, November 8th, 2008 the Chicago Irish Pub Music Meet Up Group will be at Irish Times starting at 8 p.m. Come on out for Irish music by Paddy Homan and Friends. There is a chance to visit with old friends and an opportunity to meet new ones!
