By far the 2008 Oyster Festival was an event not to be missed this year at Irish Times! Everyone that came out had a great time with friends new and old joined by great times had by all. The food was well received until every last oyster was eaten.

Drink for a Cure - September 13th

The Fourth Annual Drink for a Cure fundraiser will begin at 8 p.m. Your $50 donation at the door will include food, drinks and live music for the day. There will be prizes, games and silent auction items galore! Please join us in raising funds to benefit the National Marfan Foundation to raise awareness for communities across the globe of this dreadful silent killer.

Live Jazz - September 18th

The Brookfield Jazz Society welcomes the Ross Hubble Trio to the Cottage on Thursday, September 18th. The trio plays acoustic swing and Gypsy jazz. Their largest influence is guitarist Django Reinhardt, however, they also draw from other contemporaries in the field. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., meeting at 7 p.m. and music begins at 7:30 p.m.

For this event, there is a suggested band collection donation of $5 per person for BJS members (with membership card); non-BJS members will be asked for a cover charge of $5 at the door. All monies raised go to the band.

Third Annual Oktoberfest

On Saturday, September 27th, the Irish Times will feature its Third Annual Oktoberfest starting at 3 p.m. There will be plenty of Brats, German Potato Salad, and Sauerkraut available along with our regular menu. Four Oktoberfest Beers will be on tap. Music by "The Bill Smrha Polka Band" from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. No cover charge for this event.

For the first time since the Irish Times Image Gallery went online the Fifth Annual Oyster Festival is the first event feature a chance for visitors to order pictures from an event!

A special website has been setup to handle online orders for pictures from the 2008 Oyster Festival. This website will offer prints, t-shirts and mugs from your favorite photos. Please understand that not all of the pictures featured on the Irish Times Image Gallery website are available for purchase from the ordering website.
