Third Annual Oktoberfest
On Sunday, September 30th (the day before October) the Irish Times Pub in Brookfield will host is very own Third Annual Oktoberfest. The event will start at 3 p.m. with no cover charge.
The menu will include Brats, German Potato Salad, and Sauerkraut along with the regular menu also available. Do not forget to try one or all of the Four Oktoberfest Beers on tap. Classic Oktoberfest style music will be conducted by The Bill Smrha Polka Band from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Fourth Annual Oyster Festival
Without a doubt this year's Annual Oyster Festival was the biggest party in town right here at Irish Times in Brookfield. There were many familiar faces among many new ones this year with three birthday parties happening at the same time and even a visit by Ireland's Boxing Champion Henry Coyle.

Upcoming Live Jazz Events
The next Live Jazz Event for the Brookfield Jazz Society will be on Thursday, September 20th featuring the music of the Joel Moore Quartet. Coming in October will be BMX Jazz playing for the BJS on Thursday, October 4th.

All live events are held in the Cottage, adjacent to the first beer garden. The doors are open at 6 p.m., the meeting starts at 7 p.m. and the music begins playing at 7:30 p.m.
Currently there is no cover charge for either event listed above; however, the Society does recommend a $5 donation for the band collection. Of course, larger donations are always welcome and everyone is free to participate in the raffle. The money from the band collection and raffle are given to the band on the night.
Special Announcement
The Brookfield Jazz Society has been around since March of 2005 and has hosted some excellent Live Jazz Events as well as wonderful presentations and interesting movies. This has been possible in no small part by the management and staff at Irish Times along with its growing number of supportive members.
Starting November 1st, the Brookfield Jazz Society will implement a BJS Membership Program that will allow current members of the society to attend any Live Jazz Event with a $5 recommended donation along with access to special parties. At the same time, there will be a $5 cover charge at the door for the public for any Live Jazz Event. Of course, any regular presentation or meeting will always be free and open to the public.

Trivia Night - Pub Quiz
Every Tuesday at Irish Times is either Trivia Night or Pub Quiz hosted by John Shear. For those of you would like to check out the fun and test your knowledge, be sure to download the new flyer available for download from the sidebar on ITPubEvents.com.
The flyer is available in PDF format and is updated with a current schedule of date for each night along with any special announcements regarding upcoming themes or prizes for games.

Join Lou Yore on the Second Sunday of the month to learn about your heritage via the Irish Times Genealogy Project. The next meeting will be held on Sunday, September 9th at 2 p.m. in the Cosgrave Room which, non-smoking section adjacent to the main bar.
