IntroductionThis edition of the Events Newsletter will include updates from the recent event held at Irish Times as well as updates to the website and news of what is happening in July. We want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Fourth of July holiday! 2007 Blues EventOn Saturday, June 23rd, the Irish Times held its second annual Blues Festival sponsored by Berghoff. The evening included free samples of Berghoff Beer, classic Berghoff tee shirts, and of course, an awesome five-piece R&B group led by the very talented Laurel Holman with the band Groove Express. The top 75 images, along with music from the band in the movie, can be found in the Blues Festival section under Annual Events. Live Jazz Event - July 19thOn Thursday, July 19th, the Brookfield Jazz Society will head up their summer schedule with music from the Shawn Maxwell Quartet. Doors will open at 6 p.m., meeting starts at 7 p.m. and music will begin at 7:30 p.m. There is no cover charge for this event. A collection for the band collection is held during the intermission. Special Notice: The July 19th event will include a Live Auction for the one-of-kind BJS Quit that currently has a bid of $75. Please visit the Brookfield Jazz Society website for further details. Brookfield Music Event - July 21stThe Brookfield Bar Owners Association is coordinating the Brookfield Music Festival on July 21st between 7 p.m. and 12 Midnight. There are 12 different bars involved with this event, including the Irish Times. There is no cover charge and participants must be 21 or older. For a map of the Trolley Route and Bar Listing, stop in at the Irish Times and pick-up a yellow brochure. You can check out the Monthly Slot on the Irish Times website for updates. Image Gallery UpdateAlong with the new 2007 Blues Festival image gallery mentioned above, there are a few changes made to the navigation on the ITPubEvents.com website. The Special Events section includes: Super Bowl, Big Easy Fundraiser, Fourth of July, White Sox, Notre Dame, and the 15th Anniversary. The Annual Events section includes: Guinness Toast, St. Patrick's Day, Rig Roast, Jazz-O-Rama, Blues Festival, Oyster Festival, Oktoberfest, and Halloween. The Inside Irish Times section includes: the Walkthrough (everyone's favorite), Live Jazz Event, Quiz Trivia Night, Image Theater, Gallery Overview (complete list of image galleries), and the Newsletter Archive. Ordering PhotosThe link to the PDF form for ordering photos on the website was removed from the sidebar; however, the links on the individual pages remain. If anyone has problems ordering pictures, please use the Contact Form with details of the nature of the problem.
